TRAVIS CAUDLE TO SUPPORT MARK SEYMOUR (Wednesday, June 15 2011)

Just home from his fourth US tour in two years, The Woodenelves' Travis Caudle is celebrating his return by opening for Mark Seymour and his band at two of their Perth album launches.

The Perth-based singer/songwriter was in North America for three months playing shows right across the midwest and east coast including appearing at the Houston International Festival in Texas, an event that also featured Michael Franti & Spearhead, Robert Cray, and Lucinda Williams.

The tour also saw him support renowned US producer and musician Don Dixon who’s been involved with the production of albums for R.E.M., The Smithereens and James McMurtry.

His time on the road inspired a raft of new songs, some of which Travis will showcase on Friday night (June 24) at the Fly by Night Musicians Club in Fremantle and Saturday night (June 25) at the Charles Hotel in North Perth ahead of Mark Seymour and band launching their new album ‘Undertow’.

Tickets for the Fremantle show can be bought online at www.flybynight.org or by calling (08) 9430 5976.

Tickets for the North Perth show can be bought through BOCS Ticketing www.bocsticketing.com.au or by calling (08) 9484 1133.

TRAVIS UP FOR ANOTHER AWARD (Tuesday, February 22 2011)

Travis will find out in mid March if he’s won a 2011 APRA Professional Development Award after being shortlisted from a field of more than 2,000 entries.

And, just after that, he heads to North America on a two-and-half-month tour that will see him play at iFest in Houston, Texas, as well as a host of other shows across the east coast.

Woodenelves' Song on Flash Forward (Tuesday, May 18 2010)

The Woodenelves’ frontman Travis Caudle has joined a prestigious list of musicians including Jeff Buckley, John Lennon, Rufus Wainwright and Bob Dylan, with one of his songs appearing in US sci-fi TV drama Flash Forward.

The track “All I Want”, from The Woodenelves’ album “Trips Between Worlds”, produced by ARIA-nominated producer Tim Powles, features on episode 21 of the show that airs in the US this Thursday May 20.

The opportunity came through his deal with LA-based synch placement and music supervision agency Undercover Tracks, run by Isabel Pappani – a former VP of Creative for Festival Mushroom Records.

“The placement of Travis’ song into Flash Forward is our latest Australian success story – in recent months we’ve had Brisbane buzz band Hungry Kids of Hungary appearing on Grey's Anatomy as well as a promo for the show Royal Pains, the now New York-based Melbourne act Luluc appearing in Grey’s for the second time, and Bertie Blackman featuring in Gossip Girl, amongst others,” she said.

The Flash Forward placement comes just ahead of the singer/songwriter relocating to the US for the northern summer and follows on from college radio airplay for his latest album “Signals”, also produced by Powles.

Other Australian acts to have had tracks featured on US TV on the back of working with Undercover Tracks include Powderfinger, Eskimo Joe, Princess One Point Five, Borne and Grand Atlantic.

Before he heads back to the US, Travis will play shows across the June long weekend in Western Australia.

Friday June 4 – Peel Alehouse, Halls Head @ 7.30pm

Saturday June 5 @ Bootleg Brewery, Margaret River @ 2pm

Sunday June 6 @ Old Coast Road Brewery @ 1pm

Monday June 7 @ Colonial Brewery, Margaret River @ 1.30pm

Travis Caudle

To mark the release of his debut solo electric album, Signals - available online for purchase at http://www.thewoodenelves.com/content/shop_new.html - The Woodenelves' lead singer Travis Caudle is embarking on his first tour - the 'Signals Tour' to take in every mainland capital city in the country.

Signals features 12 spacious modern rock/pop tracks produced by The Church drummer Tim Powles at Spacejunk Production House in Sydney.
